Why space matters

Tokyo is awash with noise. With a total population well over 20 million people, it can't be helped. Not surprisingly, getting caught up in the noise of a million people moving one way and then another is an easy thing.

It's easy to take a photo of that noise. It can even look good too. But despite Tokyo's massive population and energy, the city's most enjoyable quality for mine is its space. If you look carefully, there is actually an awful lot of it to be had.

Photographing that space is a challenge. Sometimes your shots look good, oh hum and pretty. Sometimes they are... different and you can't really explain why. Those are the gold shots. Whether they are mine or another's, do enjoy them. Space, Tokyo's space, is there for all.
