Black & White or Colour?

I'm not going to say that black & white photography is better than colour. It's just that I'm partial to it.

I see a lot of colour images that are pretty. Sunsets, red skies, city lights... yes they are all quite pleasing to look at.

But you can't hide with black & white photography. And if there is something that is hidden, you'll be teased to know it's there.

And that's the beauty of black & white photography; the suggestion, the hint, the opportunity to be engaged without knowing precisely why.
